Purpose of BIM use:

In this project independent models were made of the 25 buildings, all of which were integrated into a general model of the whole campus.

The BIM model was used for the coordination between different disciplines (Architecture, Structures and Installations). Graphic documentation about the project was obtained from these models (plans and images), the measurements and the basis for the development of the construction project in which the framework of all elements was broken up.

Description of the success achieved:

The Company used this project to implement BIM technology. The use of BIM favoured the detection of interferences between the designs of the different disciplines in early phases of the development of the project. Greater quality was achieved in the submission since inconsistencies were avoided between different documents, with all of them being obtained from the same constantly updated model. Furthermore, a rapid response to the changes required during the design and work stages was possible. The work with BIM favoured the classification of structural elements for the development of cuts of elements of premanufactured and in situ concrete such that the systemisation of construction would be facilitated.
