Purpose of BIM use:
In this project the ultimate aim of developing the BIM model was its use in the execution of the works and its associated installations.
In the first phase of the Project the BIM model was used to propose the zones in line with the specifications and needs of the client after the modelling of structures and architecture, which included pharmaceutical panels.
The main uses of the model were: visualisations and images, coordination of the different disciplines (architecture, structures and installation), measurements and detection of interference between them.
The different installations were also coordinated: HVAC, lighting, force, control, industrial vapour, drinking water, drains, nitrogen, compressed air, oxygen and pure steam.
The different tasks of the scheduled planning of the works were linked, such that a simulation of the construction phases was obtained (4D).
Description of the success achieved:
The use of BIM allowed us to improve the planning of the works and the analysis of collisions, increasing the quality of the design such that in the work phase the modifications were reduced to a minimum with respect to the original design on detecting the conflicts in the project phase.
